1.  Get an account like Bruce Becker's that can never ever be     
    pulled, no matter how annoying you are.

2.  Warn your friends not to send you any more personal e-mail.

3.  Create a .forward as follows:  it should contain the name of  
    every newsgroup, with the dots replaced by dashes, then       
    @cs.utexas.edu or @ucbvax.berkeley.edu. (For example:  
    comp-ai@cs.utexas.edu, talk-bizarre@cs.utexas.edu, sci-aquaria, 
    etc.)  In fact, use both gateways.

4.  Post one final pornographic story to a few dozen inappropriate 
    newsgroups.

5.  Watch the net crumble.
